The ground-breaking Rangers support centre - sorry, study support centre - at Ibrox Park seems to be scoring and not only with the younger males it was intended to target (page five).

When children from St Patrick’s primary in Anderston were invited to bring their parents along, almost half of the adults who turned up were fathers - and mostly Celtic supporters.

The proliferation of Rangers photographs, logos and the predominantly blue decor did not have any visibly debilitating effect, nor did the fact that they were probably still smarting after the ‘Gers beat the ‘Tic 2-1 in the CIS cup semi-final two days before.

They would have been proud of one youngster who was asked to choose either a sport or an animal and then use the Internet to find out nine facts about his chosen topic. He headed straight for his machine and started looking at the history of Celtic Football Club.
