Online Classics

Online Classics offers more than 350 hours of classical music, dance and drama on film, available to view, free, at 56 kps over the internet (www.onlineclassics.com).

Want to show your pupils Janet Suzman's "apartheid" Othello? Or introduce them to last year's surprise smash-hit at Glyndebourne, the teen opera Zoe? Forget time-consuming hunts through old video catalogues, it is all to be found via the site. Teaching resources include theme-oriented clips, tips and resources on Othello and the Merchant of Venice, with links to the relevant components of GCSE and A-level work.

Faster versions (at 128 and 300kps and broadband) are available on subscription, broadband generally through local education authorities.
