In time for next month’s general election, the Parliamentary Education Unit and RM are running a mini-election on the Explore Parliament website to help primary pupils understand how elections work. The election will be contested by three parties, the Tidy Party, theFit Party and the Healthy Party. Each has one “fun” policy and two that are less palatable, such as giving up sweets, and schools are encouraged to implement them for a day. Flexible resources can be downloaded from the site.
