There’s one more performance to catch of Eclipse, performed by Harrogate’s Flying Theatre Group, run entirely by young people under the age of 20. Written by poet Simon Armitage, the play is directed by 17-year-old Nic Wistreich and is an entrant in this year’s BT National Connexions. You can see it at the Harrogate Theatre Studio (tel: 01423 502116).

Acclaimed pianist Joanna MacGregor performs at a charity concert in aid of the Unicorn Arts Theatre, the West End’s only children’s theatre, on March 2 at 7.30pm. Tickets priced Pounds 20, Pounds 15 and Pounds 10, can be booked from the box office on 0171 836 3334.

Kazzum Arts Project is currently touring schools with Sticking in the Rainforest, an environmental project exploring the destruction of the rainforest, using drama, crafts and music. The project, sponsored by Pritt Stick, offers schools a week’s residency, a play-in-a-day session or environmental drama workshops. All come with teachers’ packs. The Wickham Theatre of the University of Bristol’s drama department is presenting John Ford’s Love’s Sacrifice: A Chamber of Discoveries performed in a specially constructed full-scale replica of an indoor Jacobean playhouse. The tragedy of betrayal and revenge will be played by candelight to music. A pre-performance talk by the play’s director, Martin White, is being given on March 20 at 5.15pm.
