It was good to see the feature on school business managers in the TES Magazine (“Take money in your stride”, November 27) and the emphasis on the difference they can make to children’s lives - not only in the finance area. But you don’t need to secure support from a school to apply for one of the National College’s programmes if you are not already working in a school. And those who are employed in schools should not feel they need to be “working as a school business manager” to apply. The National College welcomes applications from any aspiring school business manager.
