I write to express my concern over the misleading headline and standfirst which accompanied my article (TESS, February 23).
The suggestion that the Scottish education faculties require to be given a strategy contradicts my argument which stressed the opportunity for faculties to initiate, in a strategi way - along with other key partners - educational policy and development.
Academic colleagues who read earlier drafts of the article and who read the published version agree with my concerns.
