Opportunity knocking?

I am concerned that the new regional directors will lose local knowledge, appreciation and sensitivity to the needs of learners, trainers or service providers and business and commercial sectors.
Students with special needs or disabilities will put demands on existing systems within the incorporated and independent sectors.
Sensitivity and balance are needed in transitional planning, delivery and learning needs for these students, particularly those with severe learning difficulties.
I fear they will be marginalised or forgotten in this restructuring. As a distinct learning group they have, in effect, already been ignored in 14-19 reforms.
I hope the “10” will come up trumps, widen access and work with other providers towards better services.
