Mohammad Sidique Khan, 30, the Edgware Road suicide bomber who killed seven people, was a learning mentor at Hillside primary school in Leeds between March 2001 and December 2004. He was also a part-time youth worker for Leeds council between 1996 and 2002. He grew up in Beeston and was a former pupil at Matthew Murray school.

It has been alleged that Khan helped plot a suicide attack on a Tel Aviv bar in 2003 which killed four, including the bomber Asif Hanif, a Londoner.

Khan flew to Israel on February 19 2003 while he was employed at Hillside primary and left 24 hours later.

The fourth bomber Jermaine Lindsay, 19, killed 27 including himself on the Piccadilly Line between Kings Cross and Russell Square. He was from Aylesbury, Bucks. The number of dead was 56 on Wednesday. Around 700 people were injured, with 350 needing hospital treatment. Twenty-seven people are still in hospital, six in intensive care with two critically ill.
