The Assembly government will not be issuing guidelines on ingredients in school dinners - unlike in England, where ministers have announced pound;280 million for improvements, including a minimum spend of 50p per child.

Wales currently spends more per head on school dinners than in England, but the Lib Dems this week called on Assembly ministers to ensure Welsh schools do not fall behind on standards.
