At last! A leading educationist has dared to suggest that a Curriculum for Excellence might not be all it’s cracked up to be (Lindsay Paterson, TESS, May 11).

It was a real pleasure to learn that the uncritical reception being given to this over-inflated reform has at last been called into question.

Personally, I am reminded of the little boy who pointed out that the emperor had no clothes as he strolled through the busy streets.

Unfortunately, some of us have to remain in the crowd and applaud for all we’re worth.
