An Oxford undergraduate, a former pupil of St Aloysius’ College in Glasgow, found that making it to the city of dreaming spires was a positive disadvantage on the club scene when home for the summer.
As she stood before the bouncers at the Garage, a regular spot with local students, and showed her Oxford University card as ID, she was denied entry. “A huvnae seen wan uv those,” she was told. “That’s no a real yoonie.”
