A pack of staff development materials for early education has been produced by Diane Alexander, of the Scottish Consultative Council on the Curriculum, and Moya Cove, of Glasgow University’s education faculty, with help from a range of early years education practitioners. Learning is Magic contans a video and booklet to support adults in assessing children’s progress between the ages of three and five and improve their skills in observation, recording, reporting and planning.
