A poll of 261 teachers conducted by the Teacher Support Network found that almost two-thirds (64 per cent) had been subjected to verbal or physical abuse by a parent. At the same time, a poll of 200 parents by Parentline Plus revealed that 62 per cent of parents felt they had been patronised or ignored by schools. The two charities are calling for stronger partnerships.
