Parents of primary pupils in Wales are being urged to boycott private tuition by a teachers’ union, writes Adi Bloom. Gethin Lewis, Welsh secretary of the National Union of Teachers, said: “Key stage 2 tests are becoming the new 11-plus. The aim of the tests is to identify a child’s progress. It shouldn’t be based on private tuition.”
