The national anti-opting-out parents pressure group has taken legal advice after being accused of hijacking a grant-maintained ballot in Surrey.

Parents Opposed to Opting Out (POO) demanded evidence to back up allegations made by Grahame Leon-Smith, chairman of governors at Abbeylands School in Addlestone. Mr Leon-Smith accused POO of attempting to interfere with democracy and “rig the ballot”.
