Girls between the ages of 11 and 15 are still being sidelined when it comes to careers in IT, according to research. That’s why the Department for Trade and Industry, IBM, the British Phonographic Industry, and the Science Museum are running the ITbeat competition to give every girl in the country the chance to design a website and win an invitation to the world’s biggest slumber party at London’s Science Museum and IMAX Cinema on March 7.
