A COMPANY’S claim to hold the patent for electronic pupil-attendance technology is invalid, the Department for Education and Skills has told local authorities. It says that Bromcom Computers PLC does not hold the patent for electronic registration equipment and advises schools not to take up a licence from Bromcom for use of other suppliers’ equipment.
