Issues such as contraception, Aids and alcohol abuse matter to teenagers, but relevant advice often seems embarrassing coming from the mouths of adults. Peer Education in the new millennium is a sensible set of guidelines that gives young people the knowledge to become effective educators. It covers the recruitment and training of suitable youngstes, the high expectations involved, and the questions of choice, circumstance and responsibility that need to be explored.
