Nick Henwood, currently chief education officer for Somerset, is to be strategic director for education and libraries for Kent.
Andrew Barson, an education adviser for the East Riding of Yorkshire, has been inaugurated as president of the National Association of Educational Inspectors, Advisers and Consultants.
Vitas Krivinskas has been appointed assistant director (quality support and advisory services) for Halton Council, based in Runcorn. He was formerly Halton’s deputy district education officer.
