Richard Colligan has been appointed chief education officer for Dudley Metropolitan Borough upon the retirement of Ron Westerby. He was formerly head of the schools’ division.
Jane Wreford, head of Somerset’s education support services, has been appointed director of education of North Somerset unitary authority, which replaces Woodspring District Council and Avon County Council on April 1, 1996. She takes up the post on October 2.
Anthony Rabin has been appointed youth officer of the National Deaf Children’s Society, a post funded by the Carlton Television Trust.
