Pet subject

Letters from mice and hedgehogs on how they'd like to be kept clean, arithmetical brain-teasers about the reproductive habits of rabbits and guinea pigs, advice on balancing proteins and carbohydrates in puppies' and kittens' diets - they're all to be found in Pet Protectors. This set of resources for primary classes comes from the People's Dispensary for Sick Animals, which has for more than 80 years provided free veterinary services to pet-carers who cannot afford fees. There's also a play featuring Neglecters and Protectors, with its own catchy song reinforcing the message that "pets aren't toys - they're your Number One".
