At the Canterbury Tales, another Heritage attraction, visitors join Chaucer’s pilgrims on their way from 14th-century London to St Thomas Becket’s shrine in Canterbury Cathedral and hear some of the tales and history of the time in personal head-set commentaries geared to adults or children. Free familiarisation visits can be arranged. Further details: Amanda Duffield, The Canterbury Tales, St Margaret’s Street, Canterbury, Kent CT1 2TG. Tel: 01227 454888.
