Kirsty Williams, Welsh Liberal Democrat spokesperson for education, submitted proposals to the Welsh Assembly last week for improved legislation on school closures. The party is pushing for a Wales-only measure to ensure local authorities look at all options, apart from cost, when considering school closures.
