Playgrounds ‘could reduce child obesity’

Child obesity could be significantly reduced by installing specially designed playground facilities in schools, according to research by Leeds Metropolitan University. Professor Jim McKenna found that for every class of 28 pupils, the equivalent of four “inactive” children were motivated by new playground facilities.
