I notice in your second leader on a report from the Institute of Directors (“Wrong answer”, TES, July 26) that the writer feels that even the cranky English seems to have been copied from a Japanese instruction manual. From my knowledge of such manuals I suspect, given the misplaced apostrophe in “Institute of Director’s”, that he or she has been consulting the same document.
