* IT does not surprise me that staff are spending their own money to subsidise school resources. I have always done this. I agree that we should not need to be financing schools in this way, but somehow it has always made life easier. Does anyone have any suggestions for how we can encourage teachers to claim their expenses and allow them the freedom to purchase what they really feel is useful to them? In these days of efficient budgeting it can be hard to plan for the resource you just happen to see which is exactly what you want for teaching a subject that is led by another teacher who has already spent that budget.
