SIR Charles Pollard, former chief constable of Thames Valley Police, has been appointed acting chair of the Youth Justice Board, following the appointment of Lord Warner as a junior health minister. Sir Charles has been a member of the board since 1998 and chairs its youth crime prevention committee and restorative justice sub-committee.
