HALF of secondary pupils do not care who wins the next general election, according to a Mori poll. The study of 11 to 18-year-olds’ attitudes to politics found war, conflict and asylum were seen as the most important issues facing the UK. Two in five pupils would not trust a politician to tell them the truth. Nine in 10 correctly identified a photo of Tony Blair, only a quarter recognised Iain Duncan Smith, and 18 per cent Charles Kennedy.
