I felt the article by Libby Purves, “Something in the disinfectant”, (TES, December 8) and the accompanying cartoon were in extremely poor taste.
That teachers develop neuroses or psychoses because of unreasonable pressures shoul be a cause for grave concern. Many teachers reading her column will have been distressed by her flippant attitude to such a serious and growing problem.
