TYPOGRAPHIC gremlins got at Gerald Haigh’s article “Just pick up the patterns” (Music and Arts supplement, February 25).

The pentatonic scale based on C is, in fact, C D E G A. The way to remember this is to sa B-off and F-off as you remove these notes!

New computers perhaps need musical checkers as well as those for spelling and grammar!
