I NOTED with distaste the stereotyped front cover of Friday magazine (TES May 5) “Superhead” but put it down to a fleeting aberration. However, when I saw the title of Ted Wragg’s column in the June 9 edition (“Dear MrHead”), in which the “Mr” is actually gratuitous, I felt there must be something seriously amiss. Surely The TES has a language and gender policy?
