THIS advert recently appeared in my local newspaper: “Two Special Needs Assistants required from September 2000 to work full-time supporting and encouraging the educational development of individual pupils with learning and behavioural difficulties in the classroom. The posts may suit a yung person wishing to take a year out before entering university.”
Surely children with learning and behavioural difficulties deserve the very best qualified people to support and encourage their learning.
