BURIED deep in a summer holiday issue of The TES I found details of the new arrangements for teachers’ pensions for those retiring over the age of 55. The information was cynically given by the Government while teaching minds were on hold and grabbing a much-needed rest.

Thus the goalposts have been quietly moved without reference to those of us who are now paying the price for pension mismanagement by successive governments. When will the profession wake up and say enough is enough?
