SUMMER adventure activities for teenagers will receive a pound;10 million boost, Education Secretary David Blunkett said yesterday.
The cash will fund 20,000 places on schemes next year as part of th Government’s drive to persuade more 15 and 16-year-olds to stay on at school. A pilot this summer enabled 2,000 young people to take part in activities such as sailing and rock climbing.
