IN her letter, Jill McManus (TES,June 2) suggests that she has no option but to support performance-related pay.
But we are autonomous beings. Some people choose to follow their principles even when tortured!
When we encouage pupils to refrain from joining in with what they know is wrong, even if they might lose out, don’t we owe it to them to set an example?
