Print monitor

Many schools are finding that the biggest downside of increased ICT provision lies in the costs of printing. Churchill Community School in North Somerset, for example, was buying 10 laser printer cartridges a term because students were simply being careless and wasteful in their printing demands. The answer was Altman Associates' Pcounter which tells management who printed what, where and when. It makes it easy to enforce departmental limits, recoup costs - in fact you can control and audit printing in any way you like. Churchill School estimates that Pcounter will reduce its printing costs by a third.
