Schools are welcome to enter projects for the Young Historian Awards

The Young Historian Awards will once again have three categories: primary (group work), key stage 3 and upper secondary (individual work and will include special prizes funded by the Spirit of Normandy Trust for work focused on D-Day or the Normandy campaign. The full list of prize categories by topic area is availble form the organisers.

The Trustees have been delighted with the outcome of the 2004 competition, after a massive national increase in school entries of outstanding quality, saying winners showed great depth of commitment and research.

* Enquiries about entries for 2005 or 2006 can be made to Dr Trevor James, director of the Young Historian Project, Birmingham and Midland Institute, 9 Margaret Street, Birmingham B3 3BS (SAE please) or Tel: 01543 301097.
