London Electricity has awarded project funding to 39 schools. Schools bid for one grant of up to Pounds 4,000 for projects incorporating at least three weeks of course work and teacher placements in industry. Projects include running a school restaurant and designing road signs. The fund is administered by Understanding British Industry’s Teacher Placement Service and run in partnership with five London Training and Enterprise Councils.
