Drama students at St Margaret Mary’s Secondary in Glasgow have written a thought-provoking drama about bullying, with help from the national anti-bullying body respectme.

Andy’s Story has been made into a DVD pack which is available to schools and youth groups across the country. It is designed for practitioners working with young people aged 12 to 18, including teachers, residential care staff and youth workers. It offers a practical opportunity to develop awareness of bullying behaviour and its consequences from a young person’s perspective.

The pack includes an introduction to the themes of fear and respect, guidance for practitioners, a practical exercise, the film in DVD format, and a drama script.

Respectme and the Scottish Government have also joined forces once again to launch a national competition for Anti-Bullying Week in schools and youth groups - the theme is “what bullying means to me”.
