A campaign for pupils to recycle their old mobile phones has been launched in a bid to raise money for ChildLine in Scotland.
In return for every 250 old or unwanted mobile phones it receives, the educational technology company Promethean is offering to donate pound;500 to the charity and to award an ActivExpression Learner Response system to the donor school.
The system is a set of handheld devices which allows pupils to respond to questions by text. The devices allow pupils to answer each question posed by the teacher, with the responses and identity of each respondent visible only to the teacher.
They are particularly useful for encouraging children to participate in discussions of sensitive topics, such as family relationships and bullying.
The fundraising target for the "Give Every Child a Voice" campaign is pound;250,000.
