So, the list has been made of high schools for the chop and behind Ed Balls making the announcement is surely Andrew Adonis as Robespierre. There is no justification for not tackling underachievement and where lack of effort, vision or expertise is identified, then retribution must fall as children only get one chance at school. However, what is again being demonstrated with many of the schools on the list is the myopic view of a department where test results and number crunching are all that matters.
