For the third time in four years Edinburgh’s Royal High has provided a winner of the Pushkin Award for writing by secondary 1 and secondary 2 pupils. Emily Oyama, who spent her early childhood in Japan, shared the top award with Susan Radcliffe, Dumfries Academy. Roddy Wallace of Boclair Academy, Bearsden, was third. The winners will spend a week in Russia.
