Twelve pupils from Falkirk schools are being offered a free scholarship with StageQuest - a new company set up by entertainer Adam Quest.

Training with the company is aimed at young people, aged 16 and above, who aspire to a career in the entertainment industry. Participants will learn basic stagecraft techniques to enhance their performance skills and increase their chances of employment.

The programme consists of a two-day interactive workshop and live performance training. For performers with particular ability there is the possibility of paid performances and access to agents from the industry.

The project will be evaluated after its first year and a report prepared for the education and leisure committee. Auditions will take place in the New Year.
