RESEARCH by Om Gandhi, head of the department of electrical engineering at the University of Utah, found that children are being exposed to higher levels of microwaves through the use of mobile phones than are adults.

Writing in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers’ journal, Professor Gandhi said children could absorb up to 50 per cent more radiation than adults.
