A new report from the Further Education Funding Council has highlighted areas of good practice by governing bodies nationally.
Raising Standards in FE:The Work of College Governors reports the monitoring ofquality is improving and the number of education and training experts on governing bodies has increased. The report says governors still need to be more active in making sure weaknesses are addressed.
