Stephen Petty tells us of the academy whose motto is “The sky’s the limit” (“Mind-boggling mottos are hard to believe”, 19 August).

What disappointingly low expectations that school has. As one of the candidates in this year’s The Apprentice said: “Don’t tell me the sky’s the limit when there are footprints on the moon.”
