An “indiscipline manifesto” has been launched by the Educational Institute of Scotland. It calls for a reduction in class sizes, support for the right of headteachers to exclude “seriously disruptive” pupils, recognition that placement in a mainstream class is inappropriate for some children, and better policies for dealing with the misuse of mobile phones in schools.
