The Graduate Teacher Training Registry suffered a setback this week after it emerged that a fake but convincing-looking website using its title had been attracting teachers.

Visitors to the www.gttr.org.uk site instead of the genuine www.gttr.ac.uk

found “recommended” links to organisations offering to register them as yoga teachers, promising “teaching secrets” from a teacher in Texas, as well as connections to a range of valid government education websites.

A spokeswoman for the GTTR said it had been alerted to the alternative website this week and was now “taking appropriate action”.
