HOMOPHOBIC bullying is a fact of life in schools, delegates said, as they pressed the Government to stand firm in its attempts to repeal Section 28, the law which forbids local authorities from promoting homosexuality. Delegate Max Hyde, a teacherfrom Trinity School, Leamington Spa, told how a former pupil had come out to her, and admitted that the youth had felt unable to speak to her while still at school because the youth feared that she would be compromised under Section 28.
