Retire early for workload benefit

The only way headteachers will benefit from the workload agreement is to retire early as I did. I am astonished at the National Association of Head Teachers’ attitude and as a lifetime member disappointed that they did not immediately pull out of this flawed agreement.

It is also typical of the National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers that they should blame heads and threaten action when they should be taking issue with the Westminster Government and Welsh Assembly for underfunding the whole process.

In the meantime it will be the already overworked heads who will continue to struggle to implement the agreement by taking on extra work themselves.
